Blues Turnaround
Now that you have learned your first blues, it is important to learn your first turnaround. A “turnaround” is important because it acts like a signal that the current set of bars is over and a new set of bars is about to happen. In a jam session, this also means that it is someone else’s turn to take a solo. I like this particular turnaround because it doubles as a great intro and triples as a outro!
Check out the movable shape in the Don’t Work Hard, Work Smart! section. This shape can be used to play any 7th chord. I used to practice my fingerpicking by picking out the entire blues with this one shape!
