THE AEOLIAN MODE = also known as the (natural) Minor Scale.
Like Ionian Mode, the Aeolian Mode is just a fancy name for it’s common counterpart: the Minor Scale. A devastating realization for the multitudes of guitarists who were promised that knowing modes would magically increase their soloing skills to Joe Satriani levels. Sorry guys, there are no cheat codes or shortcuts in this guitar game and it takes a lot more than a cool Greek name to become a great soloist. But stick with it!
